| In History, Hap Ki Do was taught only to a select few decided upon by the royal court of Korea.
The Choe family, being one of the few selected, has handed this ancient and traditional style of martial art down, along with additional special family techniques, from first son to first son, since its inception.
Grandmaster Choe is originally from Seoul, Korea. Along with mastering both Hap Ki Do and Tae Kwon Do, his expertise in weaponry extends to over 20 different weapons.
Grandmaster JiMong Choe, a Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine, specializing in SaSang Constitutional Acupuncture, is an NCCAOM certified acupuncturist, and a Professor of Oriental Medicine. He is an expert of Sa Sang
Constitution  (traditional Korean acupuncture and herbal medicine), as well as Sa Ahm
Acupuncture  , Pung Soo 
(Feng Shui), Joo Yuk  (Book of Changes), Myung Ri Hak  (Five Element, Four Pillar Theory),
Qi Gong  and Soo Ki
